Habitual Flux is a 60min performance that reconstructs the voyeuristic experience of watching a Youtube video of friends filming themselves mucking around with stuff in the backyard
2 performers inhabit a stage strewn with whole- and part-objects. They talk to each other continuously while they try to make sense of the rubbish surrounding them.
They sift through the endless combinations and possibilities the objects and their bodies present, sometimes recreating things they've seen online. They keep trying to remember what they just did and if they've seen it before. Habitual Flux is a local manifestation of physical cultures sourced through the internet. The bodies of the performers and objects are drawn together by the invisible influence of histories personal and mediated.
